Mariners and Coaching time

I guess it's been a couple weeks that's my bad! There's a lot to catch up on. I'm back with my old companion from Colorado, Elder Votava. YSA or the young single adult congregation has been different but super fun still! We helped our friend Cadence make a covenant with God and be baptized! That was awesome and shes super chill and even with a crazy living situation decided to be baptized, because she said she knew it was true and couldn't deny it. We're planning to go to the temple with her this week! So it's been good, you get to meet some super awesome people in the ward. We've been grinding it out. It's nice being in Kent and the weather being warm. We just contact people for days, and it's a ton of fun. You get to meet some great people and make a lot of friends. It's great just talking to people about their lives and hobbies and transitioning that to Jesus Christ and being able to bear testimony of Him as our Savior. Our mission president recently informed us that we will no longer be tracting, or going to door to door anymore in our mission. Crazy stuff but it gives us a great opportunity to be more involved in the community of Kent and serve people in different ways. At first I wasn't super up for the new change but recognized it was a great opportunity to grow and meet people that I wouldn't normally be able to meet using door to door as my main source of finding. So it'll be interesting but super fun in the process. Our mission president compared it to a football team doesnt just run the ball ever play. If its 3rd and 7 they look to their playbook for a 3rd and 7 situation play. So of course as one would, I bought a coach wristband(the one quarterbacks wear) for fun. Gonna be looking to our "finding playbook" for different situational finding methods. It'll definitely involve a lot of trial and error which only helps us improve if we let it. I'm grateful for the challenges I receive in life. When we get comfortable in life we can easily become complacent instead of pushing ourselves to improve more and more. Just when things got comfortable for me on my mission it's time to add a challenge to help me grow and be an even better missionary when I come home from my mission. Another thing that happened though is our mission went to a mariners game! It was hype. I love sports and definitely missed going crazy during sporting events. No doubt a night to remember. I'm excited to continue the work in Kent and keep grinding. Can't complain I'm doing the Lord's work. Time to take the offensive. God bless and God bless America. Horns Down
