Hope of Israel

 How's it going everyone? This week went amazing as most of them do, but this week was a little more special than most. First off on Wednesday we went to the temple as a mission and it was just phenomenal. It was a perfect spot to take some time away from the world and feel peace as well as receive some great inspiration from the spirit. Not many things can too going to the temple. But... something did in the same week. This Saturday an apostle and witness of the Lord came to Kent, Washington! Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. He gave a devotional to the youth in the area and our whole mission. This was a very powerful and spiritually lifting week indeed. Elder Holland shared a ton on devoting our lives to Jesus Christ and serving him. He said the only way to change the world is through Christ. No other things have worked. Only Christ can heal the pains and sufferings of this world. If everyone in the world did their best to follow Christ's example and his teachings the world would be amazing. Everyone would be living the gospel of peace. It's a simple solution and answer to come unto christ and learn of Him and its an awesome job for me to teach others about him. Elder Holland made a joke/not joke that his advice for youth is "Don't be Stupid". Well worded if you ask me, dont be stupid commit christ and learn of the gospel truths that can bring you peace. It's easy to get caught up in the craziness of the world and forget our purpose here to know christ and change and grow through Him. Elder Holland gave us a question to ask ourselves and it was about the hymn Hope of Israel. He said to ask ourselves "Am I the hope for Israel?" Are we the hope for the world. How converted are we to christ, how much do we know him and how much are we helping and change others through Him. Hope yall have a very good week. God bless and I love yall.   Hello everybody! It's been a good week. We were able to get in contact with multiple friends who we haven't been able to get in contact with for awhile. They all went really well and like I said this areas still promising. We're starting a new team system for members in our ward that should absolutely blow up. It's a great idea and I can't wait to see how it goes. The members are going to be involved so much more now. We also had our friend Luis come to church, which I believe I talked about last week. If you've been out here and know me you know I'm high on Luis. Such a great dude. The people here like always are super fun to talk to. This one guy we talked to had the exact replica of Kiit from knight rider. Which I've never seen but I know what it is and it was used at some event before the movie was released and has David hasslehoffs signature along all the cast and stunt teams signatures. Mariners and Coaching time

 I guess it's been a couple weeks that's my bad! There's a lot to catch up on. I'm back with my old companion from Colorado, Elder Votava. YSA or the young single adult congregation has been different but super fun still! We helped our friend Cadence make a covenant with God and be baptized! That was awesome and shes super chill and even with a crazy living situation decided to be baptized, because she said she knew it was true and couldn't deny it. We're planning to go to the temple with her this week! So it's been good, you get to meet some super awesome people in the ward. We've been grinding it out. It's nice being in Kent and the weather being warm. We just contact people for days, and it's a ton of fun. You get to meet some great people and make a lot of friends. It's great just talking to people about their lives and hobbies and transitioning that to Jesus Christ and being able to bear testimony of Him as our Savior. Our mission presid...

Crunch Time

  How's it going? Twas a good week. There's two more weeks left in this transfer and I'll most likely be transferred out sadly. It's crunch time here in Victor Falls ward.  Struggled to get in contact with a lot of people but we did have one of our friends the new Luis come to church with us. He really enjoyed the Easter program and said he would love to come next week and in the future. It was a great Easter weekend. Easter is a great holiday to remember our savior and Redeemer Jesus christ. He overcame death through the resurrection and His sacrifice allows us to return to live with our Father in Heaven again someday. Every single person will too be resurrected again and have their bodies perfected. How beautiful this message is and also being able live together with our families further than the good ol til death do us part.
