Valley of Evil Spirits

Image
Hello hello yall! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and soon a Happy New Year. I quite literally just got booted from my area in the Newport and May Valley Wards. After only 6 weeks and half my training I'm already getting moved to a place called Enumclaw, which means the valley of the evil spirits. They nickname it the Claw and the zone itself takes up half of the Seattle missions boundaries. It also covers half of Mount Rainier so that's pretty neat. I'll be in the Victor Falls ward. But on more of a Christmas note it was pretty dang good. Most of the day we just served those who we knew were gonna be a little lonely this year. Then at night we had two big dinners from some ward members. It was great and a good time to remember Jesus Christ and serve those in need and turn outward instead of focusing on myself and this unique Christmas I had. As I showed love for those who needed it I felt so much love and peace in return. Now that Christmas is over we STILL reme

Well well well well well well, that's 6 wells. It's Christmas time here in Seattle meaning it just keeps raining. This week was honestly a lot different, but I have never felt the spirit more than in these last couple of days. We met with a guy named Vlad, who we met knocking doors a few weeks back. And we shared with him the restorationof Jesus Christ'schurchthrough Joseph Smith. It was the first time I recited Joseph Smiths first vision in a lesson that wasn't a role play and I literally could feel the spirit just glowing off me. Vlad said it was a very powerful message and it was so peaceful in the room. Also a friendly reminder to remember Jesus Christ. He is the greatest person to ever walk the earth, and I bet he would deny it too, that's how great he is. The good 'ol classic scripture Helaman 5:12 is so dang good. I am convinced without Jesus Christ and his example for others, this world would be a battlefield. It's so critical in this time in our w

And we're back with another email, hello everyone. Super whack but cool week. Got fake food thrown at me from a member's little kids and also helped a hobo who's car was stranded on the side of the road. Also I found out an Ex NFL Pro Bowler, Ezekiel Ansah, from BYU lived in our area, then we found out he moved. Also we had a pretty cool miracle happen. We were tracking in these apartments and received a prompting to check in again on an old friend/investigator who hadn't been responding the last couple times we tried to check on him. So long story short, we got him baptized. PSYCH. He moved apparently and the person who answered the door was Geneva.  We shared with her a light the world video on sharing Christ's love and light and as we talked with her, she said that our visit was LITERALLY perfect timing, her boyfriend just went to jail the night before and she's pregnant and due in March. She had another little girl who was 4 and had no idea what she was go

Tonganfest

Alright alright alright, it's been another quality week of food. This week our whole mission was able to go to the temple. Because of Covid it was the first time in almost two years and I was lucky to go only three weeks out, so that was sweeter than sugar. It also was the start of Light the world. For those who don't know, light the world is a calendar leading to Christmas, where everyday is a different way we can give during this Christmas season. It's a great way to remember the true meaning of Christmas and keep our focus on Christ and loving others. Re member this Christmas season to share Christ's love with others and give give give. Although during these times, it can feel very dark, even the just the smallest bit of light/act of love can brighten someone's day.   Also this week we ran into a big Tonga party. We originally went to our church building to set up for the ward Christmas party, but the Tongan branch/congregation was doing something in the gym. The
