Alright Alright Alright
Howdy howdy yall hope it's been going well. Sorry it's been a few weeks but I've been in my new area in Kent for 3 weeks now. The ward is great and loving doing missionary work with us. Our teaching pool is a different story. We had some good things going for a second and had a friend named Imelda committed to being baptized in a couple weeks, but this last week she ended up dropping us and a lot of other things happened with other friends. So, we are starting from scratch and gonna go on an all out find grind here in downtown Kent. I'm excited and got a lot of faith, no doubt there's gonna be some sweet miracles coming soon. My new greenie is pretty great too, we get along well and he's very gun ho about things and is actually 23 years old so the elder knows life and has a solid testimony. Last Saturday, I was able to go a baptism for my friend Luis who I taught when I served in Victor Falls in the Claw. It was great seeing some of ward members again and Luis and also to be apart of his journey to making his first covenant with God. The best thing no doubt about the mission is seeing people before and after their conversion to Jesus christ and accepting his Gospel. We had to let go of a few friends these past couple weeks because of things that they weren't willing to sacrifice to change themselves to be more like Christ. It hurts to witness no doubt, but for those who accept the restored gospel there brings no greater joy than watching their nature's change and their hearts be pure. How grateful I am to be a missionary and witness 2nd hand the gospel of Jesus christ come alive in the lives of others and bring them so much happiness. I love in the Book of Mormon all throughout we see when a group of people live the gospel and are humble and repentant , there's peace throughout all the land until they become prideful and unrepentant again. Their lives are filled peace and joy as they repent of their iniquities, because they change their lives to be more christlike. The Gospel is about our effort and us striving to change and follow christ. So I got a profound invite for everyone: Live the Gospel of Jesus Christ daggumit! Love yall and keep grinding. Keep the Devil Horns Down and do no evil.
