Polynesian Love
Hello everyone, twas a pretty average week but we also had transfers. My companion Elder Narayan is getting shipped to his original assignment in India, so I'm got a new companion his name is Elder Char. He's my third straight Polynesian companion. It's poly love out here, they can't stay away from me. I'm excited for this transfer Elder Char seems great and I've heard he's a great worker which is all we need in this area right now. It's gonna be a successful transfer no doubt, and I'm glad to still be in the Enumclaw zone and in this ward. This place is beautiful. We've got a new progressing friend named Luis, who's 20 and is great. It's looking good with him and I'm planning on setting him on date for baptism next Sunday when we meet with him again. We're gonna see how it all plays out and continue with faith. I was on an exchange with an Elder named Elder Jones in his area Orting, and we decided to bike this super long steep hill and push ourselves to go the full length. Well I felt pretty accomplished going about 2/3 the way and Elder Jones, who's done motocross and mountain biking almost had it, but stopped when he saw a box off the side of the road. He got excited and jumped off his bike. The box had treasure chest written in black sharpie. He cut it open and found out it was box with someone's turd in it. Not even kidding it was a box full of crap. In our own life paths there's always going to be worldly and temporary treasures along the way and as great as they look on the outside, they are really just piles of crap. As fun and easier as many worldly things may seem, we are always going to be more happy when we are living a Christ centered life and striving to be his disciples. Dont fall off the path back to our Heavenly Father because of the riches of the world, the treasure for sticking to the path are way greater. Just wanted to share a scripture I pondered a lot this week.
