Mariners and Coaching time

I guess it's been a couple weeks that's my bad! There's a lot to catch up on. I'm back with my old companion from Colorado, Elder Votava. YSA or the young single adult congregation has been different but super fun still! We helped our friend Cadence make a covenant with God and be baptized! That was awesome and shes super chill and even with a crazy living situation decided to be baptized, because she said she knew it was true and couldn't deny it. We're planning to go to the temple with her this week! So it's been good, you get to meet some super awesome people in the ward. We've been grinding it out. It's nice being in Kent and the weather being warm. We just contact people for days, and it's a ton of fun. You get to meet some great people and make a lot of friends. It's great just talking to people about their lives and hobbies and transitioning that to Jesus Christ and being able to bear testimony of Him as our Savior. Our mission presid...

Rally The Valley to the King of Kent

Howdy y'all! It's been a good few weeks. The work slowed down a slight bit as far as who we are teaching. Pratibha has continued to come to church and she bore her testimony this past Sunday. It was pretty dang good, she recited the Lord's prayer!!! Absolute baller. She goes to India for the whole month of April which is unfortunate but she's been absolutely awesome so far. We got back in contact with our friend Abhi and invited him to be baptized. He's currently praying on it, but sadly I'll be getting transferred out of the Valley. My time is done in the North. I'm going back to the south to an old zone I was in, Kent! I'm in a congregation that's only young single adults so ages 18 to 30. It'll be a very cool experience and I'm back with my old companion who I was with in star Lake, the Elder Bryton Votava! We're both super excited for this transfer. There's some baller missionaries in our Zone too that we're excited to work ...

Curry for 3... BANG!

Alright I've been getting pretty bad writing emails lately. Sorry about that y'all. It's a new transfer though and I have a new companion, Elder Pierson. My old companion, Elder Bell, actually became an assistant to our Mission President so for the last week of my last transfer I just had Elder Bentley-Dyches and it was good times. Elder Pierson and I were trained by the same Elder when we first came in the mission though so that's cool. Times in Bear Creek have been interesting. We meet a lot of people and make new friends a lot, but they are very flaky and our current most progressing friends have been hard to set up times to meet recently. But this last Sunday a woman named Pratibha show up to church with her husband and 2 kids. It was great to see a family a church. They came this Sunday again and they loved it again and plan to keep coming. She is absolutely amazing and even with very different beliefs she has such a great desire to find truth. The missions been ...

We The North

Well I've gone north in the Seattle mission. I got transferred to the Bear Creek ward up in Redmond. It's been a fun first week, my companion is Elder Bell who's a 6'5" giraffe. His trainer also trained me in my 2nd transfer(weeks 7-12). We get along well and love to hype up our Zone. Our Zone is Sammamish Valley, so it's nicknamed the Valley and there's a hand sign called Vs up that everyone does. This last week, I was able to attend a baptism of someone I taught a lot while I was in the Star Lake ward in Federal Way. His name is Chris Younger and he's awesome. I had to opportunity to give the message of the Restoration of the Gospel during an intermission in the baptism with and old companion of mine, Elder Votava. It was fun to that again with him but what was great was after a man in the crowd, I never met, came up to me and said there was something in that message that was shared that very powerful and filled the room with the spirit. He said it w...

What's up everyone? Hope it's been good where you're at. Well this week was super cool, we had a member of the 70 come to our mission, his name was Elder Mark A. Bragg. He really loved our mission but apparently we've been doing companionship study wrong my whole mission haha. The spirit gave me a good reminder of the small things in missionary work and even just life in general that make such a big difference. It reminds me of Elder Uchtdorf and his talk on a matter of a few degrees and the difference those tiny mistakes or faults can do. Through "small means the Lord can bring about great things." To improve on these small things, I've been making goals around the scripture of Christ asking three times to Peter, "Lovest thou me, more than these?" Our every decision and action we use with our agency reflects how much we love the Lord. Every action, thought, and priority we have either helps us progress and grow or regress. Focusing on the smal...

Dream Big

How's it going y'all? This was an exhausting week, we just had a lot of meetings and events towards the tail end of it that made our work feel less effective. Many great spiritual experiences though no doubt. One of those events was the temple which was peaceful break midweek to relieve some stress. Our friend Cormac also ended up being baptized this last weekend, which ended it on a high note. I think a big thing I took away from this week is, in pressure packed moments, I can choose to be a victim and let my situation get the best of me and lose a growth opportunity. Or I can choose to be a victor and overcome whatever circumstance I'm in through Christ and take opposition as an opportunity to be strengthened. If you know me, a passion I have is sports. The most dominant quarterbacks, basketball players, coaches, etc, are calm, cool, and collected in pressure filled situations. They choose to not let their circumstance defeat and overpower them. And they seize the momen...
